Military Coup in Zimbabwe will never happen

Image
Dumiso Dabengwa: Military Coup Can't Be Ruled out in Zimbabwe Former Home Affairs Minister Dumiso Dabengwa says a military coup cannot be ruled out in Zimbabwe as some members of the Zimbabwe National Army are not happy about the sacking of former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Dabengwa, who is also the leader of the opposition Zapu party, said it is likely that most Zimbabweans can back this move as they are tired of President Robert Mugabe’s rule. The former ZIPRA military intelligence supremo noted that there could be bloodshed if there was a military coup in the southern African nation that has been ruled by Mr. Mugabe since independence from British rule in 1980. Dabengwa, who was speaking after he launched the Dumiso Dabengwa Foundation in Bulawayo, said it’s unfortunate that Zimbabweans believe that a military coup can be the best way of removing the president and his party from power. His views were echoed by former ZIPRA combatant Retired Colonel Baster Magwi...

India awards a picture of burning elephants An image of two elephants fleeing a mob that set them on fire has won top entry in a wildlife photography competition. Biplab Hazra's picture shows a calf on fire as it and an adult elephant run for their lives in eastern India. It's unclear what eventually happened to the two elephants in the award-winning picture, which was taken in Bankura district. The note says a "crowd of jeering men" were flinging "flaming tar balls and crackers" at the two elephants when Biplab Hazra took the photograph. "For these smart, gentle, social animals who have roamed the subcontinent for centuries, hell is now and here," he added. The photograph has attracted a lot of attention on social media Mainak Mazumder, who lives in Bankura, commented that villagers were responsible for "heavy habitat destruction" and that "elephants have been subjected to terrible abuses and tortures". No Power to Save Life in Puerto Rico

Image
Ex-governor of Puerto Rico tweets photo of surgeons operating by cell phone light Former Governor of Puerto Rico Alejandro García Padilla took a jab at President Trump on Twitter following comments the President made about the United States' relief efforts on the island. Padilla questioned Trump's rating of his performace as a "10," showing a group of surgeons operating on a patient using only light from their cell phones and flashlights more than one month after Hurricane Maria. It's unclear where the photo, which has been widely circulated on Twitter, originated from. In addition to retweeting the image, a number of Twitter users shared their own outrage over the lack of aid Puerto Rico has received in the weeks since the hurricane. Many were quick to point out that about 28% of the island is still without running water. Nearly 90% of the island is without electricity. Trump, often quick to respond to critics on Twitter, has yet to take aim at Padill...

Blogger's Advice to Readers

A snake penetrated into a carpentry workshop.  As it slipped, it passed over a saw and got slightly wounded. Suddenly, it turned and bit the saw, and biting the saw, the snake seriously got wounded in its mouth! Then not understanding what was happening and thinking that the saw was attacking "him," it decided to roll around the saw to suffocate it with all its body by squeezing it with all its strength, but it ended up being killed by the saw!!! *Sometimes we react in anger to hurt those who have harmed us, but we realize after all that we are being hurt ourselves*. In any case they may not even know that they hurt you and mentioning it to them would be more trouble. *In life it is better sometimes to ignore situations, ignore people, ignore their behaviors, their words.* *Sometimes it is better not to react so as not to suffer consequences that can sometimes be deadly or harmful.* *Do not let hate take over your life because love is stronger than anything.* Be wise and...
