Ex-governor of Puerto Rico tweets photo of surgeons operating by cell phone light Former Governor of Puerto Rico Alejandro García Padilla took a jab at President Trump on Twitter following comments the President made about the United States' relief efforts on the island. Padilla questioned Trump's rating of his performace as a "10," showing a group of surgeons operating on a patient using only light from their cell phones and flashlights more than one month after Hurricane Maria. It's unclear where the photo, which has been widely circulated on Twitter, originated from. In addition to retweeting the image, a number of Twitter users shared their own outrage over the lack of aid Puerto Rico has received in the weeks since the hurricane. Gaza conjoined twins 'need life saving treatment abroad'❗ The lives of a pair of conjoined twins are in jeopardy unless they are able to leave the Palestinian territory of Gaza, their doctor has warned. Shifa Hospital's Alam Abu Hamda said the "complicated condition" of the baby girls could not be dealt with by medics in Gaza. "Their lives are in danger, it's a complicated case," Dr Abu Hamda was quoted by The Times of Israel as saying. He said that while the condition of one of the twins was "ok", her sibling was "suffering" and required ventilation. The Israeli military body responsible for co-ordinating access to and from Gaza, Cogat, said it had not received any request for the twins to exit the territory. A snake penetrated into a carpentry workshop.  As it slipped, it passed over a saw and got slightly wounded. Suddenly, it turned and bit the saw, and biting the saw, the snake seriously got wounded in its mouth! Educating Homeless Children By Leah Davies, M.Ed. In 1987, the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act became law. Its purpose was to protect the educational rights of homeless children by mandating that states remove barriers that prevent these students from receiving a quality education. The law has been amended several times to be more inclusive. It requires states to review their school residency laws and revise any that prevent homeless children from receiving an appropriate education with minimum disruption. School officials are obligated to facilitate student enrollment and placement, expedite records, and make transportation arrangements. School personnel often coordinate the delivery of a wide variety of social support services for these children.
